Lisbon Property is an independent buyer's agent working exclusively for international buyers in Lisbon. We find, evaluate, negotiate and manage property purchases — and we are paid by the seller's side, so there is no cost to you.

Our story

Why Lisbon Property exists.

Buying property in Lisbon as an international buyer is genuinely complex. The legal process is unfamiliar. The market is opaque — asking prices bear little relation to transaction prices, and the best properties often change hands before they are ever listed. And every agent you meet is, by definition, working for someone else.

We built Lisbon Property to change that dynamic. International buyers deserve the same quality of independent representation that sophisticated local buyers have always had access to. They deserve someone in their corner who knows the market, speaks the language, has the relationships — and who has no financial incentive to steer them towards one property over another.

That is what we do. We act as your agent, your guide and your negotiator throughout the entire process. We are paid from the seller's side — the same way buyer's agents work in the US, the UK and most sophisticated markets — so our alignment with you is complete.

How we work

What we stand for

Buyer-only

We never represent sellers. Not sometimes, not in a different part of the business — never. This means our advice is always given in your interest, not influenced by a desire to close a deal or protect a relationship with a developer.

Honest above all

We will tell you when a property is overpriced, when a neighbourhood is not right for you, or when we think you should wait. Buyers sometimes push back on this. We tell them anyway — because our job is to help you make the right decision, not to manage you towards the nearest sale.

Depth over breadth

We work in nine central Lisbon neighbourhoods. Not because we cannot work elsewhere, but because knowing a market deeply — its buildings, its sellers, its pricing and its off-market opportunities — is worth more than knowing a hundred markets superficially.

End-to-end accountability

We do not hand you off to a solicitor or a mortgage broker and disappear. We stay with you from first call to after the keys are in your hand. That means we are accountable for the outcome, not just for finding a property.

Lisbon Property is licensed under Portugal's AMI real estate framework, which regulates property professionals operating in Portugal. We are members of the LS Atlantic group — a network of specialist buyer's agents operating across Portugal's Atlantic coast.

We are happy to explain exactly how we are compensated on any transaction, what relationships we have and do not have, and who ultimately pays our fee. We believe that transparency about how we work is fundamental to the trust a buyer needs to place in us.
